Reliance Mobile sold 1 million cell phones in one week
Reliance India Mobile sold one million cell phones within one week of its launch. These exceptional sales are due to the launch of RS 777 mobile. This is the first time in India a cell phone is available below Rs 1000. With the success of Rs 777 plan, other cellular providers are planning to launch similar schemes to their subscribers. Reliance may overtake market leader Airtel in gaining new subscribers in May. In March, Airtel added 1.7 million subscribers while Reliance India Mobile added 1.2 million subscribers.
