Bharti Airtel in world top 10 mobile operators

 

No.1 mobile operator of India, Bharti Airtel, crossed 40 million subscriber mark and entered into world top 10 mobile operators list. Airtel reached this number just within 12 years. Only 10 telecom operators have more than 40 million subscribers from a single country. Bharti is the fastest company to reach this magic number. Airtel has 23.2% market share in the Indian mobile space. Airtel (GSM) is operating from all the 23 circles in India. Bharti may reach 120 million subscribers by 2010.

Bharti Airtel may add another 22-25 million subscribers over the next 12 months to become world’s top 4 mobile operators. Reliance India Mobile (CDMA) may reach world top 10 by the end of this year. India is the world’s fastest growing mobile market with more than 175 million mobile subscribers. It will touch more than 500 million user base by 2010. India’s mobile penetration is just around 15%.
