Google India launched SMS search facility for Indian mobile users who don’t have internet enabled mobile handsets. You just need to send a text message to 54664 to access any information. Google service is currently available on Aircel, Airtel, BPL, BSNL and Reliance networks in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru cities only. Google selected India to launch this service for the first time in Asia.
You can know local movie show timings, restaurant information, travel news and business listings by sending text message to 54664. Google send search results according to your saved location. Even though it is still in beta stage, Google service is sending excellent results. 54664 service will change how Indians search for required information. Higher text message charge is the only problem to spread this service.
