 Vodafone offers: 1. Vodafone announced good offer (Mee Kosam) for its post-paid customers in Andhra Pradesh. This offer will be applicable for both current and new subscribers. There are 27 different tariff plans in this scheme. If they pay Rs 100 monthly subscription fee, one will get Rs 500 talktime on the Vodafone network. Customers can customise the tariff plans according to their needs.  2. Vodafone announced “Friends Circle” service in India. Group of people who subscribe for this service can call each other at 20 paise per minute. Each 'friends circle' can have a maximum of 5 numbers as members. Reliance India Mobile: R-Com acquired 1 lakh subscribers on the first day of its launch in Mumbai. Reliance started GSM service in Punjab on Monday. Rs 900 free talktime will be applicable to Punjab customers also. 2. Tata Telecom: Company will enter into GSM services by the end of 2009. 3. BSNL: ICICI Bank forged an agreement with BSNL regarding online bill payments. BSNL Cellone customers can pay bills online at www.icicibank.com banking portal. 4. Onida Mobiles: Onida will soon introduce new mobile handsets with V-series for low end and i-series for high end customers. How to complain against telemarketers?

 Mobile users can get relief from unwanted calls by telemarketers due to aggressive measures by TRAI. But many cell phone users are not properly utilising this service due to lack of awareness about new rules. How to complain against telemarketers? 1. First you need to register your name and mobile number at National Do Not Call Registry (NDNC). Click here to register on the site.   2. You can also register by sending SMS “START DND” to 1909. SMS is free of cost.   3. You can also register through the website of your service provider.   4. There is a grace period of 45 days after registering with NDNC. If you receive unwanted calls even after 45 days, you can complain to the nodal officers of NDNC.     What is the punishment?     1. There is a fine of Rs 500 for the first unwanted call.   2. Rs 1,000 for the second unwanted call from the same telemarketer.   3. Service provider should disconnect the connection of telemarketer if he makes third call.   4. Service providers need to pay Rs 5,000 if he fails to stop unwanted calls from the marketing agencies.
