Cell phone usage – no health risk in short term

Mobile phone usage will cause no health risks in short term. This was revealed in the extensive research programme done by the Mobile Telecommunications and Health Research (MTHR) programme. But this research has not ruled out any long-term brain cancer prognosis. This extensive research on cell phone usage and health risks was done over 6 year duration at a cost of 6 million pounds.  According to a sample survey done by Swedish scientists, cell phone users of over 10 year period are at 4 times more risk of ear tumours. If any symptoms appear, they are not due to mobile phone usage but due to sensitivity to electro-magnetic fields. Electrical hypersensitivity affects 1-4% of the population.   The only bad news is the researchers do not rule out health brain cancer risk for long term users. Children could be at risk because their brains are more sensitive to radiation and it is better to limit their cell phone usage.  These results are good news for cell phone users and especially for mobile industry. Long term users may be at risk for Brain tumours and Acoustic Neuromas.    It is better to restrict unnecessary mobile phone usage and stay away from health hazards.         … [Read more...]

Mobile tip of the day

When you try to call someone through mobile phone, don't put your mobile closer to your ears until the recipient answers.   Reason: After dialing, the mobile phone would use it's maximum signaling power, which is: 2watts = 33dbi.  Try to use mobile phone judiciously.
